Beverly:

Hey there. Welcome back to the Sparking Nightmare Marketing Podcast. Beverly Cornell here, your go to growth and reputation strategist at BC Associates Marketing. As the holiday season approaches, there's one event that gets both businesses and consumers excited. Black Friday. And now I know what you're thinking. Isn't Black Friday just for retail businesses? Well, let me tell you, service based businesses can absolutely leverage Black Friday to boost their business in a big way. And today I'm going to show you exactly how to do that. So grab your favorite coffee or tea, sit back and let's dive into how you can make the most out of Black Friday promotions we've got a lot to cover today. And stick around to the end because I've got a special resource download to help you define your own Black Friday deals with ease. So let's start with the most obvious Black Friday tactics. Discounts. Offering a limited time discount can be a very powerful way to attract new clients or reward your loyal customers. So, for service based businesses, it's not just about slashing prices, it's about adding value. So, here are some ideas. Percentage based discounts. Offer a significant percentage off your services for Black Friday. For example, get 30 percent off all bookings made on Black Friday. Super simple, right? You could also do a buy one, get one. So consider a buy one, get one free deal. For instance, if you're a consultant, you might offer one hour of consulting for free when a client books an hour at full price, limited time packages, create a special Black Friday package that is only available for purchase during that weekend. So maybe bundle a month's worth of services and it just kind of rate or offer a package, like three massages for the price of two. Bundling things is a great opportunity to differentiate. And I talk a lot about bundling and all of our promotional ideas on our blog. Um, so if you go to the, the blog on the website bcassociatesmarketing.com and you go to Marketing Hub, there is a blog there. And on the blog, if you put in promotions, uh, if you type in promotions, you'll see a ton of different ideas for promotions for your particular store, for both retailers and for service-based businesses. The key here is to make your offer too good to resist. But remember, it's not just about the discount. It's about creating an offer that aligns with what your clients actually need. Next up, let's talk about non sales promotions. I'm a huge fan of non sales promotions. These are strategies that don't necessarily involve discounting your services, but still can create some buzz around your business and strengthen those customers. Very important client relationships. So here are some ideas. Exclusive content. Offer exclusive content or like a mini course for free when clients book a service on Black Friday. This could be an ebook or a webinar or a workshop that adds extra value to their purchase that weekend. Gift with Purchase. Instead of discounting your service, you could offer a free gift with purchase. This could be something like a branded item, a free resource, or even a one on one coaching session. So some things I've done in the past is if they buy something, they could get my book for free, the PDF download for free. So this is something that you can offer, something you already have, just bundle it in and add it to the service. Loyalty program. So you can use your Black Friday as an opportunity to launch or promote a loyalty program. For example, you can offer double points for any services booked on Black Friday or introduce a VIP tier that offers additional perks for those who purchase during the holiday season. These non sales promotions not only drive, the sales and profitability during Black Friday, but also offer and foster long term relationships and loyalty, turning those one time customers and buyers into repeat clients. Finally, let's talk about bundling. Bundling, we talked a little bit about above, but I want to talk about more here. bundling services is an excellent way to offer more value to your clients. while increasing your revenue. So Black Friday is the perfect time to introduce service bundles that give clients more bang for their buck. Everyone knows that it costs a lot more money to get the initial customer than it does to keep a customer loyal. So you already have the customer, so that initial investment of trying to get the customer doesn't, isn't at play here necessarily. So here's where you can, here's how you can do that. You can offer complimentary services, so bundle services that naturally go together. For example, if you offer a digital marketing agency like us, you could offer a Black Friday bundle that includes website design, SEO services, and a month of social media management. That could be a bundle you could offer. Tiered bundles. Create tiered bundles that cater to different budgets. There could be a silver package that might include one basic service, while a gold package includes that basic service plus two add ons. And a platinum package includes everything you offer at an unbeatable price. So the more they buy, the more they save. I have a client right now who is a retailer and for Shop Small Saturday and a couple other things she does, um, if you buy 59 worth of stuff, you get a goodie bag. If you buy 79 worth of stuff, you get a goodie bag plus a free product. If you buy, um, 99 worth of stuff, you get a goodie bag. Two free products and the free products actually come from her vendors. So she's not outlaying that, but her vendors are. So is there a way for maybe you to partner even with another business and somehow you can cross promote to each other that would create some value? and get you both to be able to expand your services to each other's customer base. Bundling not only makes the offer more attractive, but also helps you showcase the full range of services that you offer, encouraging clients to try something new that maybe they wouldn't have before.
